BCC Presents Physical Therapist Assistant Clinical Faculty Award

PITTSFIELD, Mass — Berkshire Community College (BCC) presented the New England Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Consortium Clinical Faculty Award to Cheryl Reynolds of Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington, on Wednesday, April 26.    Presenting the award were BCC PTA Program Coordinators Michele Darroch and Nicole Tucker, and Clinical Education Coordinator Judy Gawron. CHP Names New CEO to Lead Berkshire Healthcare Network

South County Overnight Paving, Bridge and Guardrail Operations

LEE, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announced that crews will be conducting overnight paving operations and bridge and guardrail repair work on I-90 eastbound and westbound in Montgomery, Russell, Becket, Lee, and Blandford.    The scheduled work will require some lane and shoulder closures, and is scheduled to take place as follows:   Lee/Becket Pavement milling operations will be conducted nightly on I-90 westbound from mile marker 14 to mile marker 22, from Monday, June 5, to Friday, June 9, during overnight hours from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning.  All work is anticipated to conclude by 5:00 a.m. on Friday, June

Pignatelli, Mark Hold Town Hall Forum

EGREMONT, Mass.— State Rep. William "Smitty" Pignatelli and state Sen. Paul Mark will take questions and invite comments at a "ReMarks and Refreshments" town hall forum in Egremont from 9 to 10:30 a.m.on Monday, June 26. 

The event is open to the public and will be held at Town Hall, 171 Egremont Plain Road, Egremont.

LENOX, Mass. — Mount Everett Regional School's class of 2023 was reminded of their strength and community support during commencement on Saturday morning.  

Forty-seven students received their diplomas at Tanglewood's Koussevitzky Music Shed under cloudy-but-dry skies.

Principal Jesse Carpenter said that are not many communities where all of the adults involved in student lives care so much about each and every one.

MassDOT Touch a Truck in Lenox

LENOX, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) annonced "Touch-A-Truck" events at Highway district depots across the Commonwealth are being rescheduled.    Due to rain in the forecast, the events will now be held to Saturday, June 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.     Families can visit MassDOT Highway district depots for the annual Touch-a-Truck event featuring a dump truck, bucket trucks, plows and more.
