GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Berkshire South Regional Community Center's (BSRCC) annual 5K fundraiser returns in-person this year after two years with a "distanced" format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Walk/Run takes place at the Great Barrington Airport on Saturday, May 14, with check-in at 9 a.m. and a race start at 10 a.m. The annual event is a fundraiser for Berkshire South's Community Youth Programming, including the free Teen Outreach Nutrition and Exercise program (TONE). SANDISFIELD, Mass. — The Sandisfield Arts Center announced the Daniel Manacher Prize for Young Artists applications are available and those interested need to apply by June 15. Three artists will be selected as finalists and each will receive $350 in support of their art practice, as well as a group show of their work at the Sandisfield Arts Center on Aug. 13, 2022. The prize was created by Adam Manacher and Carol Birnbaum, the parents of Daniel Manacher, in memory of their son and his passion for art.
