Jacob's Pillow Expands Virtual Programs And Welcomes Artists Back

Big Y Donating To Breast Cancer Awareness Groups Through October

CHP Names Director of Behavioral Health

Great Barrington, Mass. — Community Health Programs (CHP) has named Mary A. Fierro as director of behavioral health for the countywide health care network. She divides her time between administrative duties and client appointments.   Fierro has most recently worked in private practice and as the clinical program manager for Medicaid members of the Fallon Health accountable care organization. Her work with Fallon focused on behavioral and medical health and social determinants of health initiatives.   She was also vice president of behavioral health services at the Edward M. BCC TRIO Student Support Services Program Renewed

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Berkshire Community College TRIO Student Support Services program has been renewed with a $1.4 million award.   In August, The U.S. Department of Education announced that Berkshire Community College's (BCC) TRIO Student Support Services grant program was renewed for five years, with an award of $1,473,625 to help students succeed in and graduate from college.    BCC's program will receive $294,725 per year, allowing it to continue serving 165 students per academic year through 2025.   TRIO grants are awarded every five years on a competitive basis, with a total of $270 million allocated to 968 institutions by the federal government in

Berkshire BPW Woman of Achievement Raises $27,890

Fire Prevention Week: Test Smoke Alarms, Practice Escape Plan

MEDFORD, Mass. — National Fire Prevention Week is October 4-10, and the Red Cross of Massachusetts urges residents to test their smoke alarms and practice their escape plan as home fires continue during COVID-19.   Since July 1, the Red Cross has responded to 98 home fires in Massachusetts to help more than 500 people with urgent needs like emergency lodging, financial assistance and recovery planning. Construction Operations on I-90 Eastbound and Westbound

LEE, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announced that crews will be conducting construction and maintenance operations at specific locations on Interstate 90 eastbound and westbound in Montgomery, Blandford, Russell, Otis, Becket and Lee.     The work is scheduled to begin in some locations at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 5, and will continue at different locations and time frames through to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9.     At all times, travel will be maintained on I-90 through the work zones.
