LENOX, Mass. — Genevieve Jane Shaw Mathes, 75, of Lenox, died Saturday morning at Berkshire Medical Center.

Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 1, 1945, the daughter of Leonard and Viola Beardsley Shaw, she attended local schools and was a 1963 graduate of Pittsfield High School.

Mrs. Mathes was employed as a housekeeper for many years at Hillcrest Commons.

Survivors include her son William A. Shaw and his wife Lorena, and daughter Amy E. Mathes Fosty and her husband Christopher; granddaughters Hailey E., Hannah A., and Heidi M. Fosty.

Funeral Notice: A private service will be conducted this week at the Roche Funeral Home in Lenox followed by burial in Mountain View Cemetery in Lenox. In lieu of flowers donations in Genevieve's memory may be made to Friends of Renal Dialysis in care of the funeral home, 120 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240.
