Darlene J. Truskowski, 80

DALTON, Mass. —



Mrs. Darlene J. (Sedgwick) Truskowski, 80, of Dalton, died Friday afternoon, May 20, 2022 at her home with her family at her side. She was born in Adams on May 20, 1942, a daughter of the late Norman and Victoria (Tabor) Sedgwick. She grew up in Savoy, attended Savoy schools and graduated from the former Adams High School with the Class of 1960.



Darlene last worked as a secretary in the Psychology Dept. at MCLA in North Adams, until her retirement. She was a member of Berkshire First Church of the Nazarene in Dalton. She enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren’s sporting events, camping, canning foods, working on the family farm where she grew up, and Bible study sessions.



She is survived by her husband, John J. Truskowski, whom she married on June 3, 1961; two daughters, Kimberly Truskowski and her love, Michael Pelletier of Eustis, ME, and Kathleen Budaj and her husband, John, of Windsor; a son, John Truskowski, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of Readsboro, VT; a sister, Beverly Krutiak and her husband, Tom, of Savoy; five grandchildren, Jonathan Budaj, Jessica Anderson, Jamie Budaj, Joshua Budaj and Jordan Budaj; her dog, Zoar, as well as nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.



The funeral will be held on Friday, May 27th, at 11:00 AM in the Berkshire First Church of the Nazarene, 165 North St. (Rte. 9) Dalton. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours at the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, are Thursday from 4 to 7 PM. Memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, 877 South St. Pittsfield, MA 01201, or to the Berkshire Humane Society, 214 Barker Rd. Pittsfield, MA 01201. To Darlene's family. I'm so sorry to hear of Darlene's passing. She was such a caring person and she had a heart of gold. She loved her family and especially her dog Zoar . She would bring him in my shop for grooming, at Wagntails every 6 weeks , until I retired in Dec . Darlene was such a sweet lady .
