Bernice E. Plantier,106

Bernice E. (Lesure) Plantier, 106, of Pittsfield died on Thursday July 28, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.



She was born in Stamford, VT on April 17, 1916 a daughter of the late Carl and Bessie (Brothers) Lesure. Bernice attended Stamford School & Drury High School.



Bernice was employed by Sprague Electric Company for 43 years. She loved flower gardens, needle point, knitting, and was an avid reader. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, music, traveling and spending time with family and friends.



Bernice was predeceased by her husband Elie Plantier who died in 1962 and her brothers, Nelson, Floyd, Gordon, Gerald, Ronald and Paul Lesure.



She leaves her daughter, Melissa Nicholson of Pittsfield with whom she shared a home, two granddaughters, Kristin Ferris (Kenny Ferris), Victoria Nichols, 4 great grandchildren, Corey Nichols (Erica Newton), Erin Horne (Robert Horne), Michael Ferris and Matthew Ferris, great great granddaughter Peyton Horne. She also leaves her devoted and loving sister Helen Shields, brothers Lawrence, Charles and Richard Lesure and her dear friend Sue Davis



FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Bernice Plantier will take place on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Calling hours will be at Stamford Community Church on Tuesday from 10:00-11:30 AM, services at 11:30am. Burial immediately following at the Millard Cemetery. Donations may be made to Hospice of the Berkshires through the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.
