PITTSFIELD, Mass. —  

Mrs. Bernice L. (Wandrei) Giroux, 88, of Pittsfield, formerly of Adams, died on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at her home.

She was born in Adams on September 30, 1934, a daughter of the late August and Lily (Poupart) Wandrei. She attended schools in Adams.

Her husband, Robert N. Giroux, whom she married on August 20, 1955, died on May 6, 2003.

She is survived by her son David Giroux and his wife Tina of Adams; her daughter, Cynthia Placido and her husband Mark of Pittsfield; her daughter-in-law, Linda Giroux of Adams; her brother Dennis Wandrei and his wife Joanne of Adams; her sister, Diane Biagini of Cheshire; four grandchildren, Matthew and Jonathan Placido, Kyle Giroux and Sara Nannan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Richard Giroux, by four brothers, Norman, Leonard, Richard and August Wandrei and by two sisters, Carol Ann Burdick and Rosalie Randall.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, October 29th at 10:00 A.M. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.

Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.

Calling hours are Saturday morning from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
