Marian Joan Delong Brundage, 90

March 26, 2023

ROCKLAND, Maine. — Marian Joan Delong Brundage, age 90, formerly of Pittsfield, Mass., died Sunday, March 26, 2023 following a long illness. 



She died at the Sussman House in Rockport, Maine, having spent her last days with many loving family members at her side, and many other family members and friends holding her in their thoughts and prayers. She was a strong and loving pillar of her family and friends. 



She was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1932 and later moved to Pittsfield, Mass. After she and her husband, Frank Brundage, were married she raised her family and lived for many years in Williamstown, Mass. in Berkshire county where they owned Howard Johnson's restaurant.



Marian spent her summers in Becket, Mass. with her family, and has lived in Naples and Sarasota, Fla., Colorado Springs, CO, Lee, Mass., Adams, Mass., and Rockland, Maine.



She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Frank Brundage and her loving parents, Martha and Ralph Delong, as well as her sister and brother-in-law Florence and Rowan Tyler.



She leaves behind her three children and their spouses, Karen and Steve Blazejewski, Kevin and Donna Brundage, and Lisa and Jack Manley; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Hannah Blazejewski, Michael and Jessica Blazejewski, Sam Blazejewski, Amy and Steven Odell, Jenni and Ryan Berry, Adam and Amertah (Perman) Manley, Jonah and Dorothy (Albertini) Manley, and seven great-grandchildren, Grey, Lila, Grace, Amelia, Liam, Declan, Hugo; as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends.



She won many awards for her knitting and handcraft skills, and she enjoyed painting, embroidery, sewing and reading. Marian moved to Rockland Maine in April 2022, where she lived at Bartlett Woods and became an active member of their community. She received exemplary medical care from Pen Bay Medical Center, MaineHealth, and the Sussman House. At Bartlett Woods she was involved in their 25th anniversary fundraising handcraft events. She was loved and admired by all who knew her for her humor, strength of character and kindness. She will be sadly missed by everyone.
