Magnese Arctictrix, 29

June 22, 2024

PITTSFIELD, Mass. —  Magnese Irelia Arctictrix, 29 of Pittsfield, MA died on Friday June 21, 2024. Magnese was born in Pittsfield, MA on October 17, 1994 a son of Margot Lee Rockefeller and the late Edward Francis McDonnell.

Magnese graduated from Pittsfield High School and was employed as a Boat Monitor for the City of Pittsfield.

Magnese drove across the northwestern part of the US, and enjoyed Chicago, and Ohio visiting friends. She also traveled the north east coastal areas from MA-FL. Magnese enjoyed mining for gems in North Carolina and New York. Always looking for that pot of gold. Magnese also created a couple of pieces of glass art from local glass blowing artists as well as dabbling in smelting. She wasn't afraid to try new crafts and research. She walked every day, sometimes 20+ miles, and went through a lot of shoes! If someone needed help, she always was there without question.

Magnese enjoyed Halloween and Christmas and she designed a red velvet bag with white trim. All the gifts were placed in the extra-large bag to hand out for friends and family. Her latest hobby was cooking and baking, designed recipes and has a note book containing the recipes.

Above all, her heart was always genuine, loving, and happy. She has left memories over the years that will never be forgotten.

Survivors include her mother, Margot Lee Rockefeller of Pittsfield, MA as well as aunts and uncles, Irene McDonnell, Eileen Rockefeller and Rick McDonnell, and many cousins. Besides her father, she was predeceased by her grandparents, Francis & Mary McDonnell and Edward & Grace Rockefeller.

FUNERAL NOTICE: At the request of the family there will be no services for Magnese Arctictrix. Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes – CENTRAL CHAPEL 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247 is entrusted with arrangements.
