Biz Briefs: Berkshire Restaurant Rated Third in OpenTable List
02:53PM / Monday, August 01, 2016
Print | Email

The Old Inn On The Green in New Marlborough serves dinner nightly except Tuesdays.

Third's a charm: The Old Inn On The Green in New Marlborough has been given a distinction from OpenTable, the national restaurant reservation engine that is used regularly by millions of diners in the United States.

In July, OpenTable touted its newest batch of top ten diners' choices, with the Old Inn On The Green being named third. The list spans from Newport to Martha's Vineyard, and from coastal Maine to the White Mountains, but only one of the ten restaurants is located in the Massachusetts’ Berkshires.

The dining room at The Old Inn on the Green serves dinner nightly except Tuesday between 5:30 and 9:30 p.m. through the end of October, when off-season hours are instituted. Reservations are strongly suggested.

Fundraising is beginning: The Adams Community Bank Walk to End Alzheimer's team has begun their fundraising efforts to benefit the Alzheimer's Association. To enhance their fundraising efforts, they will be hosting Mangia, Mangia Italian Night on Thursday, Sept. 8, at the Richmond Grille at the Holiday Inn in North Adams from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The event will offer Italian food stations as well as wine tasting. The cost is $25 per person and all proceeds will go directly to the Alzheimer’s Association. For more information contact Dawn Lampiasi at 413-743-1166 or dlampiasi@adamscommunity.com or Nancy Hubbard at 413-743-1157 or nhubbard@adamscommunity.com.

Through a variety of initiatives, including employee dress down days and their customers’ participation in the "Drop your Change for Alzheimer's" and the purchasing of Forget-Me-Not Flowers in memory of loved ones, the Adams Community Bank employees are excited to be fundraising for this great organization.

The 24th annual 2016 Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place on Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail, Farnams Causeway in Cheshire. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m.
