To the Editor:
On Saturday, April 8, Berkshire Arts & Technology Charter Public School hosted our 10th annual "Get BART Smart" fundraiser – and raised $27,843 (net) for the school's college preparatory programs. Over 130 people attended – and re-lived their high school years through our team trivia game. A huge "thank you" to all who played and made it a great evening!
This night would not have been possible without the support of over a hundred local organizations and businesses.
Our High Honor Roll sponsors: Aladco Linen Services; Berkshire Bank; Cord Master Engineering; Primary Venture Partners; Shine Wire Products Inc.; Smith Watson & Company, LLP; and MountainOne Bank all played an important part in the evening's success.
We also thank our Honor Roll sponsors: Adams Plumbing and Heating; Amanda Jones Photography; Berkshire East Ski Resort; DuFour Inc.; Interprint; Mezze Catering and Events; Seitel Lighting, LLC; Scarafoni Associates; and Whitman's Crystal Clean.
The list above doesn't include 50-plus additional local businesses that donated goods and services to the event for auction items and prizes or sponsored us at the "Sponsor" level.
BArT has a geographically diverse student body, with over 350 students in grades 6-12 from throughout the county. Businesses from all corners of Berkshire County helped support our students through their generous sponsorships and donations.
Finally, many thanks to the trustees, faculty, staff, volunteers and others who contributed their time, money, and effort to make this event happen. Their dedication to the BART community, most importantly our students, is truly humbling.
