Pat Ryan homered and drove in seven runs recently as the Adams Aces scored 21 wins to win over the Outlaws and clinch first place in the regular season in the 35-year-old division of the Berkshire Adult Baseball League.

Matt Witek threw a complete game for the Aces, who improved to 12-1 this season.

Jamie Zdon, Corey Swistak, Mike Rinaldi, Ray Boudreau, Dave Clark and Witek each had multiple hits; Swistak drove in five runs.

The Aces have a three-game lead over the second-place Dalton Bandits (9-4), who dropped a 4-3 decision to the fourth-place Moneymakers (7-6) in crecent action.

Jeff Aldrich snapped a 3-3 tie with an RBI single in the fifth inning for the Moneymakers. He went 2-for-3 wit two RBIs, and Frank Curtis was 3-for-3 with an RBI in the win.

The third-place Thunder (8-5) picked up a 22-1 win over the Spiders recently. Jermaine Sistrunk went 4-for-4 with an RBI, and Bruce Blake and Jesus Lay each had a pair of hits for the Thunder.

In the 20-year-old division, Cornerstone earned an 8-3 win over BBA to pull into a tie for first place in the league standings with matching 9-3 records.

Joe Barstow had two doubles and a home run for Cornerstone, which got three hits and a pair of stolen bases from Kris Ireland.

There is a good battle for the fourth playoff spot in the 20-year-old division, where the GB Millers are currently fifth at 6-6, tied in the loss column with Lenox (7-6).

Lenox plays the North County Knights (2-9-1), and the Millers face first-place BBA this week.
