DALTON, Mass. — The Wahconah Regional High School Apollonian Players will present the Broadway musical version of "Mary Poppins" on Friday, April 6, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 7, at 1 and 7 p.m.

This "practically perfect" musical is based on the books by P.L. Travers and the classic Walt Disney film.

The jack-of-all trades, Bert (Anthony Coviello), introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. George Banks (Joe Willson) and his wife Winnifred (Julia Drury) are at a loss as to how to properly raise their children in a society that expects them to live up to a particular status. Young Jane (Anna Duquette) and Michael (Aiden Betit) have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins (Aleksandra Tsangaridies) arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again.

Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect: Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "Anything can happen if you let it."

Others in the cast include Ashleigh Bird, Emma Brosnan, Grace Caccaviello, Annalise Cramer, Olivia Furlong, Shayne Haley, Maddie Heon, Grace Moriarty, Emily Perault, Brooklyn Pratt, Dylan Redd, Hannah Rogers, Zach Rogers, Lexi Schultz and Michelle Williams.

The musical is under the direction of Pamela Fortlage-Gold, assisted by Thomas Towne, with musical direction by Ann-Marie Desautelle and choreography by Vickie Hornstein.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for students and senior citizens, and $8 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available at the door.
