To the Editor:
I am writing to express my support for Maria Ziemba to become the next North Berkshire register of deeds.
I have known Maria for several years and she has been an active presence in the community for a very long time. Maria has several years of experience in the registry and will be an open-minded individual who is willing to answer any questions that constituents have, and would implement an open door policy at the register. I see Maria out in the community frequently and have always been impressed with her dedication and commitment to public service.
As register, Maria will bring the registry into the 21st century with plans to digitize records and make the registry accessible to all. Maria is a bright, forward-thinking woman who will be a register for people from all walks of life. She will make sure that the registry serves the community and would invite people in to ask questions and educate people about the importance of the register in the community.
I encourage people to vote for Maria Ziemba for Northern Berkshire register of deeds on Nov. 6.
