|Williamstown's Boyd 20th in Age Group at Boston Marathon|

BOSTON, Mass. -- Williamstown's Stephanie Boyd placed 20th in her age group on Monday in the 126th running of the Boston Marathon.
Boyd covered the 26.2-mile course in 3 hours, 37 minutes, 40 seconds, maintaining a pace of 8:18 per mile to finished 20th in the women's 60-64 division.
The women's 60-64 age group had 450 finishers.
A pair of runners from Kenya won the event, which celebrated its return to the Patriots Day holiday for the first time since 2019.
Evans Chebet took the men's title in a time of 2:06:51. He was followed by countryman Lawrence Cherono (2:07:21) as Kenyan athletes took five of the top six places on the men's side.
The top American man, Scott Fauble, was seventh in 2:08:52.
The top American woman was Neil Rojas, who placed 10th in 2:25:57.
Six Kenyan women finished in the top 10, led by women's champion Peres Jespchirchir, who hit the tape in 2:21:01. Ethiopian's Ababel Yeshaneh finished second in 2:21:05.
More than 25,000 athletes left from Hopkinton for the 26.2-mile trek to Boylston Street.
The fastest finisher from Berkshire County was Nick Turner of Pittsfield, 24, who finished 889th in the men's 18-39 division with a time of 2:48:11, a 6:25 mile pace.
