MONTEREY, Mass.— Join certified field naturalist and meditation practitioner, Thomas Lewis, for a nature walk on the Bidwell House grounds, and up to two sit-down meditation sessions.
According to a press release, Shinrin-yoku, also known as "forest bathing," is a meditative practice that can deepen one's connection with nature.
Attendees will need adequate clothing and footwear for temperature, weather, and New England trail conditions. Attendees should have the ability to walk up to a mile; the ability to lower oneself to a seated position on the ground, and to get up, without assistance; an open mind ready to calmly absorb our environment.
A "camp chair" seating pad to protect from any dampness from the soil/ground cover will be provided.
Bidwell House are limiting the attendance to up to 6 individuals over 18 years of age, per session.
This walk is free and will take place in all weather conditions, unless thunder/lighting are predicted.
