GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Seven-time Grammy-winning saxophonist Paul Winter and the Paul Winter Consort will perform a Winter Solstice Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 21, at 3 p.m. at Saint James Place, 352 Main Street, Great Barrington.

The event offers an intimate alternative to the large-scale productions Winter has hosted for years at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in New York. The performance will feature the signature solstice music audiences expect, along with longtime collaborator and vocalist Theresa Thomason, who has been a staple of Winter's celebrations for over 25 years.

The Consort lineup includes Thomason, cellist Eugene Friesen, bassist Peter Slavov, pianist Henrique Eisenmann, drummer Rogério Boccato, and Winter on soprano saxophone.

Tickets for the Dec. 21 performance are $75 and available at www.saintjamesplace.net.
