Simon's Rock Awarded Freedom to Read Grant

Chamber Music by Local Composers to be Premiered at Simon's Rock

Governor Swears In Youth Advisory Council

ArtWeek Berkshires 2024 Welcoming Submissions

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — ArtWeek Berkshires, a county-wide collaboration, will take place May 17-27.

The ArtWeek committee posted its call for artists.  The non-juried event is free to all Berkshire County individuals, organizations, and businesses interested in showcasing creative work. Submissions from actors, cartoonists, crafters, dancers, designers, filmmakers, illustrators, mimes, multimedia artists, musicians, performance artists, poets, puppeteers, theater artists, visual artists, writers – and more – are welcome. 

The event will feature open studios, gallery talks, theater, performances, workshops, and more interactive experiences.

Monument Mountain Band, Eagles Community Band Concert

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — On Wednesday, March 27 the Monument Mountain Regional High School Performing Arts department will present a combined band concert with the Eagles Community Band from Pittsfield.    This performance will feature the Monument Mountain Concert Band under the direction of Jacob Keplinger and the Eagles Community Band under the direction of Carl Jenkins.     The concert will take place at 7PM in the auditorium at Monument Mountain Regional High School at 600 Stockbridge Road in Great Barrington.    Admission is free.

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — CHP Mobile Health is now offering the second updated Covid-19 vaccine to adults 65 and older, and to people of all ages who are immunocompromised.    Vaccines are available with the CHP Mobile Health teams whenever they are on the road. Authorities Search in Williamstown for Missing Eastern Mass Resident

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Police are asking anyone with information about a missing eastern Massachusetts resident to contact the dispatch center at 413-458-5733.   On Tuesday morning, Williamstown Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked near the end of Berlin Road, a hiking area near the New York State Line, according to a news release from the WPD on Wednesday.   Police determined the vehicle was registered to Fae Morgana Barbone, a missing person from the Abington/Hanson area on the South Shore, the release said.    "This person had been reported as missing several days earlier with unconfirmed sightings in North Adams and the Carolinas and a

Berkshire Horseworks Secures Grant From MountainOne Foundation
