LEE, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing crews will be conducting daytime and overnight hour guardrail repair, drainage work, bridge repair, tree trimming, traffic marking, and erosion control operations at various locations and times on I-90 eastbound and westbound during the week of Monday, May 13.

Lane closures will be in place during the construction operations and traffic will be able to travel through the work zones.  The schedule for the work and lane closures will be as follows: 

Otis/Blandford 

• Drainage work will be conducted on I-90 eastbound between mile marker 23.0 to 25.0 from Monday, May 13, through Thursday, May 16, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the next morning. The work is expected to conclude by 5:30 a.m. on Friday, May 17.
• Guardrail repair operations will be conducted nightly on I-90 westbound between mile marker 23.0 and mile marker 25.0 from Monday, May 13, through Thursday, May 16, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the next morning. The work is expected to conclude by 5:30 a.m. on Friday, May 17.

Otis

• Bridge repair work will be conducted nightly on I-90 eastbound and westbound at mile marker 22.5, from Monday, May 13, through Thursday, May 16, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the next morning. The work is expected to conclude by 5:30 a.m. on Friday, May 17.

Blandford

• Bridge repair work will be conducted nightly on I-90 eastbound and westbound at mile marker 26.6 from Monday, May 13, through Thursday, May 16, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the next morning. The work is expected to conclude by 5:30 a.m. on Friday, May 17.

Russell

• Tree trimming work will be conducted daily on I-90 westbound between mile marker 31.0 to mile marker 33.0, from Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. 

Stockbridge/West Stockbridge

• Erosion control and guardrail work will be conducted nightly on I-90 eastbound and westbound from mile marker 0.0 to 7.8, from Monday, May 13, through Thursday, May 16, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the next morning. The work is expected to conclude by 5:30 a.m. on Friday, May 17.

Stockbridge

• Traffic marking operations will be conducted daily on I-90 eastbound and westbound at mile marker 7.5, from Wednesday, May 15, through Friday, May 17, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.

West Stockbridge

• Traffic marking operations will be conducted daily on I-90 eastbound and westbound at mile marker 0.6, from Wednesday, May 15, through Friday, May 17, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.

Lee

• Drainage work will be conducted nightly on I-90 eastbound from mile marker 7.8 to 14.5, on Monday, May 13, through Thursday, May 16, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the next morning. The work is expected to conclude by 5:30 a.m. on Friday, May 17.
• Drainage work will be conducted nightly on I-90 westbound from mile marker 8.5 to 10.0, on Wednesday, May 15, and Thursday, May 16, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the next morning. The work is expected to conclude by 5:30 a.m. on Friday, May 17.

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area. 

Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.  

All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
